The clupea pilchardus, vulgar sardine, part of the popular portuguese imaginarium.
The treasure of the Atlantic, they love the collective noun, always moving in groups, as if they were only one being.
Romantic, they have the oil that protects the heart. Viscous silver in the strong hands of fishwives in the loud market. Motto of numerous games, songs, sayings, surnames.
Associated with the working class for being cheap, there’s no portuguese table without them.
For all occasions and for all the senses, thoroughly simple and overwhelmingly tasty
Therefore, without more, sardines in silk.
